TUVALU is from a series of paintings I made after a residency I shared with Canadian indigenous artists on the island of Tuvalu to document the effects and challenges faced by small island nations from global climate change. The rising seas are swallowing the island and the increasing severe storms cause flooding on the
TUVALU a small island located in the Pacific Ocean. The painting is a dreamscape, a world consisting of only sky and water. A dreamscape that echoes a stark reality. A dreamscape that reflects the ultimate catastrophe of the disappearance of the island.
