JENNIFER & CHARLOTTE, THREE Watercolour 28 cm w x 21 h cm NFS Artist’s Statement Jennifer (my daughter-in-law) and Charlotte 3 in my studio, not posed. Jen was expecting a baby and Charlotte a little anxious and excited. The pencil circles were added by Charlotte unbeknownst to me. This is a portrait of a moment in time, not planned but meaningful. My studio, 2427 Buxton, has both my working area and a sitting area with couches. Friends and family enjoy the space as the enormous windows offer views of the mountains, paddocks, cows and birds. With my paints out, it is fun to capture a special or not so special moment. |
