Artist’s Statement

My inspiration comes from moments of daily life.
I hope to capture experiences that the viewer can relate to, as I explore relationships between figures
and their surroundings.

I loved this ‘windy’ photo taken of me in early 2020 before life began to change with Covid 19.  This image became a symbol of freedom and resilience for me, so my portrait focuses on the movement of the wind swirling across my face and pushing my hair in multiple directions.
I can feel that specific moment in time and my memory of how strong and free it felt on that windy day.
