BRIGHT EYES Charcoal on Paper 70 cm w x 50 cm h $1,200 Artist’s Statement This realistic charcoal portrait focuses on light and shadow without the distraction of colour. I use a method I call “painting with charcoal” – applying a fine ground charcoal with hand-crafted brushes made from animal hair. This process allows me to create softness, depth and contrast. "Bright Eyes" captures a moment of quiet intensity and presence, inviting the viewer into the subject’s world. |
