Cat#15 Chris Seater ERIC, THE VETERINARIAN Oil on Canvas 90 cm w x 125 cm h $3,500 Artist’s Statement Eric was a Vet. I illustrated his books Every Dog & Every Cat. He was a well-loved Vet and a hockey player. I watched him operate on animals and was in awe of his skill and compassion. Clutch Cargo Animation – I was always fascinated by the mouths and animation I watched as a child. Accompanying him were his young ward, Spinner, and his pet Dachshund Paddlefoot. Live-action human lips over motionless animation cells left an impression on me so I used this technique in this portrait. |
