Artist’s Statement
Portraiture is storytelling in paint.  There are many aspects of of a sitter’s personality and background that decide which avenue to explore and fortunately Stephen and I are longtime friends from Art School days so it makes the decision for the painting’s concept easier.

This painting is a depiction of Stephen’s early stage process of one of his wildlife paintings. His dedication to his craft has rewarded him with the title of A.R.C. Living Master bestowed on him by the international organisation.
